Yvonne Gerald is a marketing leader with over 20 years of experience in brand strategy, consumer marketing, and business management. Her extensive experience spans the media & entertainment, CPG, technology, and publishing industries and she has leveraged her knowledge to help businesses navigate consumers’ changing tastes and ways of engaging with brands. She most recently served as VP, Marketing for Sony Music where she leveraged her expertise to expand and grow its global podcast business.
Before joining Sony, Gerald served as VP, Consumer Marketing for TIME, LLC, guiding the transformation from legacy publisher to modern media brand after leading acquisition, retention and consumer growth strategies for Time, Inc.’s News, Sports and Lifestyle brands. Prior to Time, Inc., Gerald was Head of Marketing for Cheetah Digital (formerly Experian Marketing Services) where she led efforts to establish the company’s Customer Engagement Suite as a marketer’s go-to platform for turning data into actionable insights and delivering personalized experiences that build customer lifetime value. Gerald joined Experian from NBCUniversal, where she spearheaded brand marketing activities for high profile TV shows, digital platforms, and network events. Prior to NBCU, she led mobile marketing efforts for Viacom overseeing a groundbreaking marketing and content partnership that launched the MTV and Virgin Mobile brands into the paygo mobile space.
Gerald honed her marketing and brand management skills at Kraft Foods, steering marketing activities for the iconic Maxwell House and General Foods International Coffeebrands. She began her career as a marketing representative with IBM. Gerald holds a B.S. from Boston College, with dual concentrations in Marketing and Human Resources Management, and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School.
